A shout out...

So last week got a little messed up with Cameron getting sick on Thursday but we did have a pretty eventful Wednesday. Tyler took the day off and the whole family got all bundled up and headed to Idaho Falls, Tyler got to see his best friend Bryan and the boys and I got to go up to Rexburg and visit Britney and her boys Hayden and Camden and stop in Rigby at my old bosses house Kristi with her kids Cade, Hailey and Caleb. We even got to learn how to make corn bread its delicious, It was a blast to see old friends and good ol' Rexburg which has changed significantly since we graduated. For one there is a gorgeous temple towering over the town about 2 blocks from our old apartment. It was fun to go back there, cold but fun! We ended the night with ice cream at McDonalds. I know negative 21 degrees and I order ice cream! I am true ice cream aficionado.

President Gordon B. Hinckley

Its a sad day for us all, President Hinckley has passed away. Although I am sure he is smiling now, he is back with his eternal companion and best friend. Me and Tyler found out last night and think it is really cool how all the general athorities pass away in thier homes surrounded by family. I couldn't think of a better way. Especially being 97 years old. He got to enjoy his family, which means he got to enjoy life. So, here is to President Hinckley and a great life.

More Cameron

So Cameron has been really sick, as Catherine already mentioned. Kevin & I have been to, but not nearly as bad as Cam. Catherine's been super mom and wife these last few days taking care of me and our boys. She's so awesome. Just thought I'd blog about it here so all our friends know how great she is. One of the many reasons I love her. Good night.

Cameron update

Well, he is doing a lot better! We are supposed to nebulize (is that a verb?) him every 4 hours. The first time was the hardest, he fought it the whole time, the easiest have been in the middle of the night ( he sleeps right through it.. thank goodness) So then last night, I slept right through my alarm to do it at 4am, so I woke up to Tylers alarm an hour later and did it then, but I have to say for him to sleep that long is an improvement. The night before last he woke up every two hours...I'm so glad for him as well as my sanity (sleep is good) that he is doing better. Thank you for all of your prayers, it feels good to see his toothless grin again.

Cameron

So Cameron woke up this morning with this cough like a barking seal.. yes perfect.. he has croup. But it seems to get worse and worse through out the day.. so we took him to the docotr and it turnes out it is croup with brochiolitis (sp?) and wheezing... They gave him a shot of steroids to help open his airways and then they ordered us a nebulizer.. I have never used one before but I already don't like the fact that this could mean he has asthma...poor kid... he is just sitting there smiling as he wheezes and then coughs all of a sudden. You know breathing is kind of important... and I will never take it for granted ever again. It hard to watch your baby labor for every breathe. Well I'm off to do his treatment!

Cute story...

So today I was cleaning the house... and Cameron is laying on the floor, being the cute kid that he is and rolls over on to his stomache. Well Kevin runs over and starts to tickle him (its his new thing) and then lays down on his stomach asnd starts to talk to Cameron. Then I hear "Mommy, Buggers, buggers Mommy" so I run over to the kleenex and try to blow his nose, he instead grabs it out of my hands, and proceeds to go back to Cameron and wipe the drool off of his chin (the kid is a droll machine) and hands me back the kleenex (why I always end up with used tissues I will never know) I say "thank you" and Kevin says "Welcome" and I just couldn't help walk away smiling.. They are Funny! I never would have expected that.
Oh update on the microwave... They called and rescheduled, said they couldn't make it today.. They are now supposed to be here on Thursday... grrr (can you hear the frustration?)

Cameron Did it!

He rolled over! He keeps doing it just to make me mad. It means my baby isn't my baby anymore, he is getting to big and too strong. He's been trying and has been very close for only a couple of days and today he did it. He rolls back to front exactly just like Kevin did and shows no intersts in rolling the other way. Tell me Doctor Mark is he rolling the hard way or the easy way... cause I think they would both be hard. Anyways he is so cute! Once he gets rolled over he just grins, like he is thinking "I did it!"

Pictures

So apparently over the last little while Kevin has been learning fast. He cracks me up. Sometimes I feel like he will eat anything and I have really wanted him to tell me what he likes so lately I have asked him whenever I give him food "is it good?" he always says "yeah" So I had kinda givin up on finding out what he liked for a while. Then today he asked for water so I picked up he cup that he had kool-aid in like 5 minutes earlier and filled it with water and handed it to him...his response... "mmmm... good water mommy" so I didn't really find out what food he liked but rather what kind of water he likes... the flavored kind... Funny kid! here are some pictures of the boys... I just can't stop looking at them.

This is Cameron's toy but I always find Kevin with him.

I just think that they're cute!

This is what I saw when I heard Kevin say "baby's sad" My little helper gives baby brother a hug.

This picture reminds me of one I saw of my brother twenty something years ago.. They cold be twins!

What a great day!

So it started to snow at some point this morning and basically never stopped.. how cool! The forecast was for 2 to 5 inches but I think we are a little past that and it hasn't stopped yet. Cameron was asleep on the couch and me being the lazy housewife that I am immediatly talked Kevin into going outside and playing in the snow instead of folding the towering mound of clean clothes sitting on my couch! Tyler came home and couldn't even get the car in the garage becuase he couldn't get enought traction up the hill. He found me and Kevin outside playing in the snow out back and loving it. Kevin was frozen through by the time he was ready to come in. He feet and hands were red and frozen solid.. I was actually scared I gave him frostbite or something. But I got him all undressed and in the bath and he warmed up just fine. He loved coming out of the bath to a big cup of hot chocolate though. He kept saying "chock- lat, chock- lat" he puts like a pause in the middle of it..Cute! but look at this.. he had so much fun!

This is what Cameron was doing while me and Kevin were enjoying the snow.

Videos of the boys

Here are the videos of Kevin learning his ABC's with that Fridge phonics thing I promised you. The first is a video of Kevin singing the last half of the ABC's and the second video is of him singing the letter b and its sound (and doing his dance).

Here is a video of Cameron playing is his Johnny Jump up. He is only three months old and very stong! And yes that is Kevin wanting the "picture" in the background... he loves taking pictures, maybe he'll be a famous photographer one day?

I finally did it!

I got my hair cut... and I LOVE IT!! Lauren came over and cut 10 inches off... Locks of Luv here it comes, and then she went a hacking away (I had a lot of hair). I was actually expecting it to be shorter.. but I think this was a very good start to short hair for me. Tyler loves it, says it makes me look younger, and when I started doing it different ways last night, he told me that there were a few ways I wasn't allowed to do it. I believe it was because he told me I looked 13 years old.. lol. Younger is good I told him.. he said 20 if fine, but not 13. LOL. Oh and Kevins reaction was hilarious, he walked around with the the pony tail saying "my hair" and later when he got tired and wanted my hair he kept mumbling something about "hair" and "back" as he ran his fingers through it, but again I say Thank you Lauren! Guess what.. No tears!

This is not a very good picture of it but you get the idea.

I'm a nerd.

So I really started the blog thing for fun last month, thinking no one would really look at it. Well then one friend got a hold of it and placed a link on her blog so then people at church keep coming up to me saying "saw your blog" Then I just got in touch with an old friend at high school, and she has a blog, from her blog I saw all these other cool blogs from kids I grew up with and now I come back to my blog and realize...my blog is horrible! Help!!! What do I do? I realize I can always upload pictures of my kids...but really they are the only interesting thing I got.

ohh... I got something.. Kevin is learing his ABC's.. So adorable.. If any of your kids are at this stage go buy a "fridge phonics" by Leap Frog. When they get a little better go get a "Word Whammer" Kevin got the former from his grandparents for Christmas and it is the coolest thing He runs around the house saying "B says buh" and "K says kah" and then he sings the abc's. All becuase this fridge phonics thing sings and talks to him... I LOVE IT! I'll have to upload a video of it later. He does a little dance and everything.

As for Cameron he is trying to roll over, three months and just as strong as his brother.. it is nuts! He is a wonderful baby as long as he is entertained, the best thing I can do is put him where he can see Kevin playing. Then when he finally gets bored and starts to fuss Kevin runs over says "baby's sad" and gives him a hug. I was really scared to see how Kevin was going to handle having a sibling around but he has handled it wonderfully. Most of the time he just wants to "hold me" which means he wants to hold Cameron and gets mad when I pick up Cameron.. he says "no!... my baby".

As for me and Tyler we are trying to stick to our 2008 goals. I'm really excited.. its the first thing I feel really motivated about since I had Cameron (no sleep= no motivation). Our goals pretty much bring our focus back to our family like it should be. FHE, family prayer, scripture study, the kids, and all that. Plus getting healthier, and budgeting our time and money, the time part is the hardest.. seems like its midnight before I know it. I'm ecxited because I know life is only going to get more hectic with Tyler starting his PhD this fall, So it will be good to be focused now!

Microwave.. again...

So Bob showed up this morning... he was here for over an hour trying to fix the microwave. And no it wasn't the part that they ordered in that was the problem, he put the new magnatron in and it still wouldn't cook. So he called the helpline and now it is a bad diode which is now on order to be here the 15th!! Another two weeks without a microwave... can you believe it! This is just sad. The sadist part about it is that my microwave is the only thing I can think about blogging about... hehehe.

Well, our New Years Eve was fun. We of course made the every ready resoulution to eat better and get healthier, and of course that did not include the cheesecake, peanut butter balls, potato chips, dip, frozen pizza, and bagal bites that we chowed down on all night. Not to mention the martinilies sparkling juice. We played Harry Potter Scene It and watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. All in all it was a good night, although it was weird that Dick Clarks Rockin Eve didn't come on until 11:35pm. Not much time to see all the bands playing. But as we looked back we were really greatful to have the family time together and be thankful for all that happened in 2007. 2007 was a great year... it was the year three became four. And I would just like everybody to know that I am officially old now. I have been married going on 5 years now and have two kids... I am no longer cool anymore.. Wierd I know.

Microwave update...lol

So Sears was scheduled yesterday to come and fix our wonderful microwave, scheduled between 1 and 5pm to be here. They call at 2:30pm saying "we can't make it until Wednesday or Thursday"... can you believe it!! Thats right.. we are still without the microwave... So we have another appointment Wednesday morning... Grrrrr... I tell ya.. to much drama, I just want to make some chicken nuggets! And oh yeah... Happy New Year!
