tis the season..
So I finally got off my rear and put up some Christmas Decorations, me and the boys (Tyler is in the middle of wrestling season) put up the tree, the nativity, the stockings and a few of my snowmen today. I have to say now they are old enough and that i really don't care what gets broken, decorating is a lot less stressful. I put the fake tree together and strung the lights then sat on my rump while I handed the boys the ornaments, they decorated the whole tree, it was a blast to see the looks on their faces, and here them talk about how Santa was gonna leave gifts under the tree. I got out this really cool train thing that my Mom bought the boys last year, and Kevin spent 2 hours just watching the train go around and around... it was amazing.
My mom sent the kids "the night before Christmas" book from hallmark where it records your voice reading the book, and they love it! Kevin opened the book heard her voice and started talking back to her! "I love you Grandma Vicki" when he turned to the last page, the voice changed! So I asked the boys, who is that? "it's Santa!" oops! It was actually Grandpa Terry but I think it was still pretty cool!
Then today he called the house and Grandpa Terry answered.. Kevins response.. "who's this?" Grandpa laughing on his side "who's this? this is Grandpa Terry, who is this?" Kevin answers back.. "this is toothless!" Lol
this is beginning to be a fun age!

Update..
So since we have gotten the house clean the boys love to play with playdoh and color crayons, it will last them hours, the rest of the toys are basically just fillers for when they have to go in the car or bathtub...
We have our ultrasound apt for Dec 27! Boy or Girl? we will find out!
This baby craves fruit, I literally eat like 3 apples a day, while at the store the other day I grabbed a bag of cuties (oranges) I had 4 the first day! bananas, pineapple, whatever is around, I will eat!
I am not quite halfway (18weeks) and have gained 12lbs according to my scale, a whole lot more according to the doctors, I sure hope I don't have a 9 or 10 lb baby!
We had three snow days, the two days before thanksgiving and the Monday after, it was fun to have Tyler home, plus the boys have been enjoying the snow, I have been trying to keep the driveway clear... (living on a hill=no fun!)
We are looking forward to staying home for Christmas, weather permitting we hope to have some guests!
We finally sat down and chose to "pick the fight" of patching Kevin, tears and fears were all around. We decided we would read one book a night with him with the patch on, he cried the whole time about not being able to see, we pretty much were sure we were torturing him, that whole knowing it was for his own good thing still stinks! Tyler promised him if he got threw the book with the patch still on we would get him a toy... the toy he picked? the playdoh stuff that makes noises like farts... random.. whatever, it only cost a $1...
This is definitely gonna take both of us, every night, cause if I have to do this my myself, I will end up in tears every night!
A couple of weeks ago we noticed a rash on Cameron's hands, looked kinda like Chicken pox but that usually start on your torso, come to find out, it is scabies! and he gave it to me! Kevin and Tyler never showed signs of it but you medicate everybody in the house, and wash everything in hot water, so Tyler and the boys took the pill and have never showed signs since, I had to use the cream because of the pregnancy, it came back! so I got a stronger Rx and am hoping to never see it again. Arg! and Yuk!
Other than being hunkered down for the winter ( literally, just going out for preschool or wal-mart between storms) we are enjoying life.
It so nice to have a clean house!

Oops!
So I guess it has been a while since I uploaded photos from my camera, so here is catch up time...
My first Thanksgiving cooking on my own... I was a little worried about timing but Tyler helped me map it all out, plus he cooked the rolls and we made the pies the day before, 4 pies, and lots of goodies! YUM-O!

We had Uncle Ken up for Thanksgiving and if you mix him and snow you know you are gonna have fun! they made a snow cave.. turned snow tunnel and all sorts of good stuff!

We planted raspberry plants and actually got some raspberries!

Here was a test we took for fun to see if we were gonna have a boy or girl, results said boy..

We had one heck of a harvest this fall, and here is the proof that gardening is worth every second! My kids are eating carrots!

This is when I took the boys to see the steam engine that is still running, and we had to leave before the train showed up..

Kevin played soccer this fall and did so much better then in the Spring, we were so proud, by the end of the season, he was running with the two kids that scored on the team!

Kevin had is 1st day of preschool (the last year) in September, I took these pictures that morning!

And I was left with this (after dropping off Kevin and the kids from car pool) A crying Cameron who wanted to know where Brother was going without him..

Kevin was star student!

Oh and I thought I would throw in Kevin's preschool Halloween pic! So much fun!

Kevin was start student in preschool, so this is the poster we made this year, Last year I did something similar, but he liked it this year too!

It reads: ( you can also click on the pic to read it yourself!) My name is Kevin, I am 5 years old. I have 1 brother named Cameron, He is 3, and baby in Mommy's tummy. I have 2 dogs named Pumpkin and OSO. I like to play with dragons, and dinosaurs, ride my bike, swim, and play outside.
Funny huh? I used all the pictures so he could help read it too!
More Halloween pics

Here are a couple more pics of us on Halloween and our pumpkins, Tyler doing the ultrasound of the baby on the left (sorry for the smudge) Cameron's car, and Kevin's Night fury! I think we can safely say, Mom should be in charge of cleaning out the pumpkins and Dad should be in charge of carving them, His are so much better than mine! ( Mom did the car, Dad did the other two!)
the parents competition...
So we got Kevin a Book of Mormon to take to church with him last week, I of course wanted to make him a bag, but didn't get it done last week, so late last night I realize, I still hadn't got it done. Tyler steps in and says I bet I can make one that he will love before you can get yours done! So the competition began! I got my sewing machine out and started blasting through it, I of course in my hurry didn't turn under my seams, and need to reinforce the handles, but I thought we were hurrying! Tyler 45 minutes after I finished my bag brought out his very cool book cover. Pictures of KEvins favorite things, he favorite t-rex, his favorite dragon, pics of the family, his name... blah blah blah, cheater! We took them into Kevin and asked him which one he liked better... Tyler won! His of course didn't have any handles so Kevin threw it in my bag just to use the handles...lol We both won! He took both to church today!
